Lily Eskelsen, Vice President of the National Education Association, started her career in education as an Education Support Professional, working a lunch line at her local school in Utah.

She went on to be a paraprofessional and then a kindergarten teacher. A union leader in Utah and then at the national level, Lily has taken a keen interest in the workings of the folks who would privatize public schools, promote legislation to strip employees of collective bargaining rights, salaries and benefits, and ham string America’s public schools and employees who work for great public schools for all students.

Her talk to the participants of the NEA ESP Annual Conference in Memphis TN detailed the war being perpetrated on public schools and other public institutions by the anti crowd. She provides members with a vision of fighting back.

Please do take a listen. Then share with other members and start organizing in your community.
